Second Circle provides structured volunteer services to orphanages and NGOs, connecting volunteers with children through consistent, meaningful engagement.
It focuses on building a “second circle” of support beyond family through thoughtfully designed volunteer involvement.

Mission

Second Circle supports orphanages and child-care institutions by providing a network of volunteers who offer companionship, mentorship, and educational support.
It collaborates with these organizations to foster volunteer engagement and build long-term relationships that benefit both children and caregivers.

Vision

To build trusted connections between volunteers and child-care institutions, fostering supportive relationships through care, companionship, and guidance.

The Circle's Identity

Second Circle’s identity uses a warm, vibrant color palette to reflect care and optimism while maintaining enough contrast for clarity and accessibility. The logo embodies connection and continuity, symbolizing the idea of a supportive circle that extends beyond traditional caregiving structures.

The Toolkit

The Toolkit is used as the foundation for volunteering activities and is divided into 3 parts: what it means to be a volunteer, the activities under each distinct volunteer role, and creating a sense of belonging to Second Circle as a brand.

The 3
Volunteer Roles

Volunteers' tasks are organized into 3 distinct yet interconnected roles, which take a holistic approach rather than a singular intervention, which is considered more effective by the WHO framework of caregiving.

Activity Cards

The toolkit comes with a set of activity cards under each volunteer role. The cards are supported with instructions and basic information like duration, age group, and activity description.

Educator

Supports children in care institutions with schoolwork, personalized learning, and volunteer-led subjects to bridge learning gaps and strengthen overall development.

Facilitates companionship through games and activities, enabling children to form meaningful connections with volunteers and engage in dialogue that helps them feel heard and valued.

Understanding Second Circle's network

Second Circles works in tangent with their stakeholders: donors, volunteers, the organizations, and the external community. The service design of Second Circle maps each touchpoint and pathway a stakeholder might take to be a part of Second Circle's larger vision.

Second Circle was a semester-long project that included primary research, market research, iterations, and brand building from scratch. To know more about the project, do visit the link!
